Bobby Allen Gurganious, 72, of Rocky Point passed from his earthly life on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Pender Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 20, 1942 in Pender County, the son of the late Oscar and Penny Irene Rivenbark Gurganious. He was also preceded in death by his son, Paul Reed Gurganious.

Bobby is survived by his loving family; his wife, Sylvia Gause Gurganious; sons, John A. Gurganious (Tammie) and Timmie Gurganious; daughter, Lisa Bigford; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Gurganious; and many nieces and nephews.

For many years Bobby transported mobile homes and in doing so he made many friends with his jovial personality.

Bobby was a kind and gentle man who loved his family dearly. Being mechanically gifted, he enjoyed refurbishing vintage cars. Each year he looked forward to planting and harvesting a vegetable garden. Cherished memories of Bobby will remain in our hearts.

The family will receive friends 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Burgaw Chapel.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Riley's Creek Baptist Church with The Rev. Jim Herchenhahn officiating. Burial will follow in Riley's Creek Memorial Cemetery.
