Bobby James Lewis, 66, of Currie died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at his home.

He was born September 23, 1945 in Columbus County, the son of the late James Hubert and Flora Belle Rasberry Lewis. Also remembered is his brother, Jerry Rasberry who preceded Bobby in death.

Bobby is survived by his sons, Bobby Dale Lewis and Ronnie Lewis both of Whiteville; several grandchildren; sister, Janice L. Casey (Ronald Hughes) of Riegelwood; brothers, Terry Lewis (Theressa) of White Lake, Greg Lewis and Jimmy Lewis both of Currie.

Bobby loved his family and showed his caring in his own special way. In years past he enjoyed hunting. His quiet faith, jovial personality and cheerful smile will always be remembered.

There will be a time of sharing memories and scattering of Bobby's cremains at a later date. Bobby's family is granting his request that no formal services be held.
