Bonnie Faye Lewis, 84, passed peacefully from her earthly life Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

She was born July 3, 1942 in Wilmington, the daughter of James Oscar Lewis and Lilly Norris Lewis. In addition to her parents Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Earl Long; sisters, Martha Lou Deal and Lillie Earl “Sue” Faircloth.

Bonnie is survived by her grandsons, Anthony Hargrove (Lauren Fales) and Demetrius Hargrove (Patricia Hargrove); grandchildren, Leah Hargrove, Corena Parsnip, Aden Hargrove, Adam Hargrove, Kailani Miller, Autumn Sales, and Alexander Hargrove-Sales; sister, Joann Fowler; and many other family members.

Until the last few years when Bonnie’s health failed, she was a sharp dresser and liked beautiful things. Bonnie loved her family and friends. She especially loved jewelry and was noted for all the lovely rings that she wore. Bonnie was loved and will be missed.
