Brandon Sherwood Stewart, age 49, of Hampstead, NC passed from his earthly life Thursday, December 8, 2022, at his home in Howard's Landing Road, Hampstead, NC.

He was born on March 15, 1973, in Virginia, the son of Debra King Stewart and the late Larry Stewart.

Brandon was an operator of heavy equipment, including excavators, who could clear land in minutes. He loved anything to do with the water, beach, fishing, boating and swimming. Brandon was also a lover of music and instruments who believed the louder the better! His mother taught him about music, and he could play most any instrument. Brandon had a great sense of humor, and you could always tell when he was in the room. He also loved cooking out with family and friends. Brandon also enjoyed time spent with his many friends in Hampstead, especially Dee and Dave Askins who were always there for him when needed.

In addition to his mother, Brandon is survived by his brothers, David Stewart and wife, Sandy, and Gregory Stewart and wife, Jenny; loving life partner, Helen Smith; son, Brandon Gibson; daughter, Katherine Stewart; many nieces and nephews; and his four-legged pets he adored, Lyla and Gracie.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
