Bridget Eileen Whitfield, age 41, of Burgaw died Monday, August 31, 2009 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 2, 1967 in Elizabeth City and grew up, attending grade school in Havelock. She graduated from Greenville Rose High School in Greenville.

Bridget leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, the light of her life, Hannah McKinley Meeks of the home; fiance, William Bradley "Brad" Meeks of Burgaw; mother, Sandra "Sandy" Humphrey and husband, Grayson of Rocky Point; father, Teddy Dominique and wife, Donna of Greenville; brother, Robert "Bobby" Dominique of Rocky Point; sisters, Kelly Stanford and husband, Joel of Rocky Point and Stephanie Dominique of Greenville; nieces, Dani, Alexis, and Michelle and nephews, Jameson and Andy.

Bridget loved her family and her church family with sincere devotion. She brought joy and sunshine into the lives of all who knew her. Cherished memories of Bridget will forever remain in our hearts.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at Riley's Creek Baptist Church, Rocky Point, with The Rev. Melvin Hall and The Rev. Brock Tharpe officiating.

Burial will follow in Riley's Creek Memorial Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Robert Dominique, Joel Stanford, Larry Lewis, Jahn Dominique, Andy Stanford and Rusty Lee.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Burgaw and at other times will be at the home of Sandra and Grayson Humphrey, 128 Heath Dr., Rocky Point, NC 28457.
