Brunson Neal Rivenbark, age 77, of Hampstead passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born July 29, 1938. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn Marie Rivenbark, son, Gary Truett and one brother, Rodney.

Mr. Rivenbark honorably served his country in the United States Navy.
He enjoyed spending time watching westerns on the television when he was at home such as Gunsmoke and Bonanza. Brunson enjoyed collecting and was an avid collector of coins and baseball cards as well as other items.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Larry Truett; daughters, Dee Hailey, Phyllis Saunders and Diana Dreggers; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; brother, Eugene; sisters, Sandra and Judy; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 3 PM Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, Wilmington Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Prospect Cemetery.
