Bryan Davis Collins, age 83, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Huntington Health Care of Burgaw.

He was born April 8, 1928 in Jones County and was the son of the late Lona and Ethel Ruth Conway Collins. Bryan is also preceded in death by his wife, Marie Croom Collins.

Bryan is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Snell (Greg) of Davenport, Florida; sons, Philip Ray Collins of Jacksonville and James Bryan Collins (Judi) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Krystal Norris, Allison Rolland, Daniel Stoddard, Jennifer Ayala, Ashleigh Snell, Amber Snell, Jacob Snell and Ryan Collins; eight great grandchildren; and brother, Arnold Lee Collins of Melbourne, Florida.

Bryan always had a friendly smile and a kind word to share. He loved his family and was loved in return. Bryan excelled in anything connected with cars, whether it was painting, restoring or driving. Bryan's warm heart, faith in God, and gentle spirit will always be remembered.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Ray Mendenhall officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home following the funeral service.
