Burnice Lee Bond, Sr., 83, of Burgaw, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at his home. Burnice was born in Pender County on September 5, 1937 to the late William James and Addie Mae Williams Bond.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jacklyn Bond and his brother Ivey Bond.

Burnice is survived by his wife, Mary Bell Long Bond, son, Burnice Lee Bond, Jr. (Mechelle); daughter, Janice Bond Owens; grandchildren, Anthony Buck Owens, Travis Owens, Davey Darden, Raven Munoz, and Sabrina Langston; four great grandchildren; brothers, Harvey Bond (Sherry) and Linwood Bond (Mary); and one sister, Audrey Bond Richardson (Horace).

A memorial service will be Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Baptist Church located at 2711 Penderlea Hwy in Burgaw with Pastor Tim Cook officiating.
