Carol Ann Moore Caison, 78, of Currie passed peacefully Friday April 14, 2023 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born September 22, 1944, the daughter of George Franklin Moore and Helen Louise Peterson Moore. In addition to her parents Carol was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray "Jimmy" Caison; and son, Mark Ray Caison.

Carol is survived by her son, Timothy Scott Caison and wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Josh E. Caison, Danny R. Caison, Josh R. Haney (Ariel), Renee Gore, Gary Gore, Shane Olsen and Billy Blanton; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Louema Richardson (Herbert) and Jennie Johnson (Arnold); brother, George Marion Moore (Patsy); many nieces, nephews and friends, all who loved Carol.

Many will remember Carol from her 25 years of working at Johnson's Corner Grill. She also was a substitute teacher for a number of years. She was a life long member of Long Creek Baptist Church on Malpass Corner Road, Burgaw.

Carol was a lady filled with Godliness, kindness and love as she raised two sons and three grandsons and loved all of her dear family. She was blessed with a giving and forgiving spirit, always looking for the good in everyone and in all situations. In her later years Carol struggled with her diabetes and with forgetfulness, but she still loved and smiled through it all.  Carol is now in the arms of Jesus, all illness healed, and she is dancing with the angels.

The memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Brad Thurston. Following the service family will visit with friends.
