Carol Jean
Dixon
May 26, 1960 — Aug 2, 2021
Carol Jean Hulbert Dixon, age 61, left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Monday morning, August 2, 2021.
She was born on May 26, 1960 in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late Charles and Sophronia Taylor Hulbert.
Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory her best friend and husband of 41 years, Mike Dixon of the home; her daughter, Kimberly Dawn Wilson and fiance`, Keith Smith of Harrells; grandchildren, John-Michael Lane Wilson, Alexis Paige Wilson and Karley Rae Smith; her sister, Pat Rouse and husband, John Charles Rouse of Faison; brothers, Randy Hulbert of Wallace and Donald Hulbert and wife, Robin of Troy and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Carol dearly.
Carol was a loving wife and caring mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed the simplest things in life but her greatest joy was family. She enjoyed every minute she spent with them. Carol was a kind, fun-loving, and easy person to love. She loved life to its fullest during her short years on this earth. Carol was also a spunky, outspoken young lady who spoke her mind; you never had to wonder what Carol was thinking. She enjoyed being outdoors in God's beautiful nature. She especially enjoyed the water, whether it was at the beach, in the swimming pool or fishing at her favorite place. Carol's favorite drink was Sundrop. Every trip she and Mike took, Carol had to have her Sundrop always in her possession. She also loved "Little Debbie" cakes along with her Sundrop. Carol enjoyed watching the "Young and the Restless", shopping and trading clothes and furniture with her sister. Being a great friend and having a heart of gold, Carol would give the shirt off her back to others in need. She will surely be missed but memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
