Obituary

Carolen James Cavenaugh, 80, of Willard passed from her earthly life to her eternal rest and to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, May 29, 2015 at her home.

She was born April 13, 1935 in Duplin County, daughter of the late Lester and Adell Raynor James. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Nancy James and Gerry Futrell and her brothers, Tommy James, Jimmy "Jabo" James and Bobby "Cotton" James.

Carolen was a faithful member of Willard Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. She was a kind and gentle lady who loved her Lord, her family and her neighbors. With a smile on her face, Carolen always had a hand stretched out to help others and a heart ready to show the love of Christ within her. She was a diligent homemaker as well as a great cook. With a joyful spirit she filled her home with love and welcomed all who entered. When her health permitted she enjoyed cooking, working in the garden, and going fishing. Being a good neighbor and friend she was loved by all who knew her. Her sweet, sweet smile, caring manner and gentle spirit is cherished and will not be forgotten. Carolen's family is grateful to God for her life and they consider themselves to be very blessed to have had such a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister.
