Carolyn Hale Comentale, 73, of Burgaw passed gently under God's care from her earthly life to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Pender Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 4, 1939 in Pender County and was the daughter of the late Joseph Edward Hale, Sr. and Effie Lee Kellum Hale. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony" John Comentale; daughter, Terri Lynn Malpass; and son, Joseph Comentale
Carolyn is survived by her loving family, son, Jesse "Jake" Malpass and John Comentale both of Burgaw; daughter, Anna Holland (Rob) of Cary; grandchildren, Elizabeth Holland, Anthony Comentale and Andreja Comentale; brother, Porter Hale; sisters, Juanita Jurbala and Jennie Herring; cherished friends, Julie Blodgett and Sherry Comentale and many caring friends, all who have given Carolyn prayers and support during her life when she most needed it.
Carolyn was of the Messianic Judaism faith, a follower of the Yeshua Messiah, being very devout in her belief.
Carolyn, a faithful Christian and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend was a lady filled with grace, kindness and goodness. She was always thoughtful of others and willing to share abundantly with others. She always extended to others a heart of love that became more evident with every turn of events in her life. Carolyn's trust in her Savior never wavered. She has left to all of us gifts of courage and faith which is and always will be Carolyn's legacy.
A graveside service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 01, 2013 at Riverview Memorial Park with Perry Ennis and Julie Blodgett conducting the service.
