Cathy Jean Whaley Woodcock, 57, of Chocowinity passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.

She was born on August 17, 1957 in Duplin County, the daughter of John T. Whaley, Sr. and Nancy Atkinson Whaley.

Cathy is survived by her parents, her son Greg Jones and wife Melissa of Wallace, NC and a daughter, Tonia Clement and fiancé, Chris Baker of Goldsboro, two grandsons, Cody Jones and Brennon Lewis and a granddaughter, Rylie Jones, two sisters, Ann Arnold and husband Rev. Robert Arnold of Greenville, NC and Rhonda Malone and husband Doug of Magnolia, NC, two brothers, John T. Whaley, Jr. and fiancé, Marlene Cash of Wallace, NC and Jerry Whaley and wife Becky of Clinton, NC and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Chapel in Wallace, NC with the Reverend Robert Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha, NC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace.

Casketbearers will be Joey Bradshaw, Jerry Whaley, Jr., Corey Whaley, Doug Teachey, Brad Bradshaw, Dwayne Carter and Wayne Barnes.
