Cecil Howard Bilderback, age 72, of Wallace left this earthly life on Thursday, April 16, 2020 to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was born on January 7, 1948 in Springfield, Arkansas to the late Cecil W. and Mable Charlotte White Bilderback. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Dale Bilderback and Gene Bilderback and sisters, Charlene Collins and Earlene Wright.
Howard is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Darlene Shinn Bilderback; children, Douglas Bilderback of Amarillo, Texas; Duane Bilderback and wife Rose of Amarillo, Texas, Travis Whitley of Durham and Tiffany Whitley of Wilmington, North Carolina; grandchildren, Allyson Bilderback, Brandie Bilderback, Michael Bilderback, Aaron Bilderback, Jandon Bilderback and Sabine Whitley; brother, Ronnie Bilderback of Farmington, Arkansas; sisters, Lovena Tyson of Huntsville, Arkansas and Peggy Cline of Springdale, Arkansas and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends that loved Cecil dearly.
Howard was a wonderful husband and loving father, grandfather, and brother. He found great joy in the simplest things, but his greatest joy was spending time with people he loved. Always with a smile on his face and a kind word to greet you, Howard set a positive example for those who knew him. He was a strong, courageous, and yet gentle man who brought out the good in all of those who were near and dear to him. With his strong Christian faith, he loved the Lord with all his heart. During the last few years, Howard enjoyed life with the love of his life, Darlene. What they had was God-sent as she was the light of his life and he was hers. Howard was loved by many and will surely be missed.
Private family graveside service for Howard will be held at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha, North Carolina.
There will be a public memorial service later in Amarillo, Texas for family and friends.
