Obituary

Cecile Rita Duprey, 84, of Burgaw passed gently from her earthly life Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her home.

She was born March 6, 1937 in Willamansett, MA, the daughter of Wilfred Henry Peloquin and Bertha Ella St Cyr Peloquin. In addition to her parents Cecile was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Duprey, Sr.; grandson, Matthew Dingus; brothers, Henry, Francis, Alfred, and Norman Peloquin; and sisters, Theresa Peloquin Perrier and Jeannette Peloquin Artman.

Cecile is survived by her sons James Duprey, Jr. (April), and Edmund Duprey; daughters, Donna Duprey Szaban (Peter), Denise Duprey Dingus, and Dianne Duprey Tracy; grandchildren, Eric Duprey, Scott Duprey, Kara Duprey, Alexander Cordner; and many other grandchildren.

Cecile was a private woman and never remarried after the death of her husband Jim, who predeceased her by a little over 22 years. She was a self-taught pianist who loved to play the piano only if she didn't see you peeking around the corner. She loved her crossword puzzles and word search books as well as Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.  Cecile was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She loved her Saturday morning outings and especially family gatherings. Every phone call or visit ended with us telling her we loved her more and Mom always one-upped the response by saying, "I love you the mostest! Well, Mom – WE LOVE YOU THE MOSTEST!!
