Charles Neal Combs, 57, of Wallace passed from this world on Monday, April 29, 2024.

He was born in 1966 in Louisville, Kentucky, the youngest of 5 siblings, to the late Charles William and Juanita Greene Combs. The family moved to Jackson, Mississippi, when Neal was two years old, and he enjoyed a wonderful childhood there.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 31 years, Kate Krichbaum Combs of the home; daughters, Allison Combs of Raleigh and Anna Combs of Johnson City, Tennessee; son, Charlie Combs of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Lloyd Paxton and girlfriend, Angela of Brandon, Mississippi; sisters, Terri Tarnecki and husband Henry, Kay Jackson and Lisa Myers, all of Brandon, Mississippi; his canine companions, Juno and Bee; grand cats, Jasmine and Daisy; grand dog Rothko; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved him dearly.

Neal was a loving husband and caring father who was devoted to his family above all else.  He was known for his old-school work ethic, which he instilled in his children. He had many and varied jobs and small businesses in his younger years, but ultimately settled into a 23-year career with House of Raeford as Sales Manager. Most recently, he was the owner of Chickson, LLC.  Neal enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, working in his shop, and playing cards.  Above all else, he was a steadfast family man who ensured that his wife and children wanted for nothing.  Neal's absence has created an enormous void in the lives of everyone he knew, but treasured memories of him will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Wallace Chapel, with a Celebration of Life to follow at the American Legion building in Wallace.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
