Cheryl Marie Edwards, 54, of Teachey passed gently from her earthly life Saturday, October 23,2021 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.

She was born January 25, 1967 in Chemung County, New York, the daughter of  Steve Barton, Sr. and Carol Ann Naegely Clearman.

In addition to her parents Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Edwards.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Christopher Calvin Edwards and his wife, Amber and their sons, Hunter and Emmett; her brothers, Steve Barton, Jr., Bruce Barton (Tammy), Kenneth Smith, and Thomas Smith (Crystal); many nieces, nephews and friends.

For many years she was manager of the Walmart Garden Center in Wallace where she made many friends with her radiant smile.

Cheryl loved with all of her heart. Her contagious smile and generous spirit brightened the lives of all she came in contact with as she was one that never met a stranger. She was proud of being a Boy Scout leader through all of Christopher's years in scouting. Cheryl was very family oriented which was evident in her everyday life. Cheryl enjoyed all of God's beautiful world of nature as she loved the outdoors. Cheryl was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
