Christopher Anthony
Marchese
June 26, 1963 – February 15, 2024
Christopher Anthony Marchese, age 60, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
He was born on June 26, 1963, in Kings County, New York, to the late Michael John Marchese and Garnetta Ozment Marchese.
Christopher had the best sense of humor and a contagious laugh that always made those around him smile.
Chris loved to stay busy. He was an excellent mechanic and handyman. If Chris thought anyone needed help, whether it was with their car or home repair, he would immediately offer help. Chris was a kind, gentle, and sweet man with a heart of gold.
Chris gave more of himself to this world than most, never expecting anything back.
Chris loved all animals, but after losing his two dogs, whom he considered family, in his spare time, he devoted himself to taking care of abandoned cats and kittens. He had love and a devotion for his feline friends and would go to any length to make sure they were taken care of, including food, medical care, or just a warm lap and attention. There could be 30 cats and kittens running around, and Chris would give each one a name and remember them.
Christopher is preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Arthur Marchese, Richard Allen Marchese, and Peter Walter Marchese.
Christopher is survived by his wife, Angela, of 40 years, who was the love of his life and truly his soul mate.
He also leaves behind four stepchildren he loved as his own.
Kenneth Eden, Tony Eden, John Rossman, and Amanda Gaston, and 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Brother John Marchese. Sisters Shelley Marchese, Theresa Marchese Babb, and Susan Marchese, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Chris will be missed enormously and held in the hearts of his family and friends forever. Chris leaves behind a legacy of love.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
