Cindy Young Bombaci, age 56, of Willard left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Friday, February 8, 2013 from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born on October 30, 1956 in Plainfield, New Jersey and was the daughter of Betty Lou Essex Young of Willard and the late Norman Paul Young.
Surviving, in addition to her loving mother, is her best friend and devoted spouse of 38 years, Anthony "Tony" Bombaci; sisters, Jeannie Weatherell and husband, Bruce of Sharon, Vermont and Sandra Hendrick and husband, Ronnie of Jackson, New Jersey; brothers, Norman Paul Young, Jr. and wife, Regina of Jackson, New Jersey and Edwin M. Young and wife, Brenda of New Hampshire and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Cindy was a caring and compassionate young lady who was devoted to her family, friends and animals. She found great joy in the simplest things, but her greatest joy was spending time with Tony, her mother and her horses. A great lover of animals, she was an active member of the United States Horse Jumping Association (USHJA). She was competitive in show horses and was very good at taking excellent care and training of her horses. Cindy was a strong, yet gentle and loving presence to all who knew her. Her family is grateful to God for blessing their lives with such a wonderful lady as Cindy. She will surely be missed but cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved Cindy.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel.
