Clara Kathryn Ogden, age 54, of Rose Hill passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

She was born in New Hanover County; the daughter of Terry and Patricia Smith Stonerock of Rose Hill.

In addition to her parents, Clara leaves behind 2 devoted sons who loved their mother dearly Zachary Stonerock and his wife Jessica of Rose Hill and Marcel Brown and his wife Marie Vanhoesen of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren Dalton Stonerock, Lofi Brown and Audio Brown; brother Bradley Stonerock of LaMar CO; nephew Landon Stonerock; maternal grandmother Kathryn Smith and numerous uncles, aunts, extended family and friends.

Clara was a loving daughter and mother; caring grandmother and sister who loved her family with all her heart. She was a simple woman who enjoyed the simple things in life, but her greatest joy was her sons and spending time with family. Clara was born and lived in North Carolina early in life. Then she moved to Colorado, worked and raised her children but always wanted to come back “home” to North Carolina. She got her wish on August 1, 2026. She moved back to Rose Hill, North Carolina. She was so excited to be “home” again. Clara was a fighter and never complained. With some health problems that tried to hold her back, she would not allow it. She was a determined young lady. She had a big heart and would always put others before herself. Clara loved Flamingos for their beauty and elegance. Clara will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

There will be a private family celebration of life service at a later date.
