Rev. Clarence Hershel Nelson, age 68 passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 19, 2023. Clarence is the son of the late Clarence and Mary Nelson.

Rev. Nelson was the pastor of Bible Way Church  of Jesus Christ in Wilmington, NC for over 22 years. During his career as a pastor, Clarence touched countless lives, and those who knew him called him a loving and caring pastor.

Rev,. Nelson is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; sons, Clarence Jonathan Nelson, and Michael Lynn Nelson and his wife, Maria;  brothers, Willie Nelson, Charles Nelson, and David Nelson and his wife, Waddie;  sisters, Brenda Bolen and Patricia Foster;  grandchildren, Christine Anita Gayle Nelson, Clarence Jonathan Nleson Jr., Issac John Nelson, Logan Seth Nelson, Tyasia Nelson, Michael Nelson, Jonathan Micahel Wayne Nelson,  and Reggie Sessoms and four great-grandcholdren
