Claude "C.B." Bryan Crouse, age 77, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter.

He was born October 16, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland the son of the late Claude and Gladys Crouse. He is preceded in death by a brother, James Clarence Crouse and sister, Doris Crouse Woods.

Claude worked until retirement for the New Hanover County Vehicle Management Department. He loved to watch NASCAR, travel and camping. Most of all he enjoyed spending time in the company of his family and loved ones.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted and loving wife, Norma Jean Crouse; children, Brenda Tyner (Eddy), Debbie Watts, Terri Howard (Lynn), Charlie Watts (Mary) and Carl "Bunny" Crouse (Lucy); grandchildren, Gabrielle, Bridgett, Zach, Shane, Haylin, Trey, Morgan and Randa; great grandchildren, Jaelyn, Kaelyn and Brayden; sister, Nancy Crouse Vess (Wendell); special friends, Cindy and J.C. Meadows; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28401.

The family would like to thank Lower Cape Fear Hospice for their wonderful care of Mr. Crouse throughout his illness.
