Obituary

Clayton "Clay" Lee Rivenbark, age 36, of Currie passed from his earthly life to his eternal Heavenly home on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at his home.

He was born April 5, 1974 in Wilmington and was the son of Timothy "Rock" Lee Rivenbark and his wife, Susan, of Rocky Point and Kim Davis West and her husband, Ricky, of Currie. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Tammy Rivenbark of the home; daughters, Leigha Rigdon and her husband, Dewayne, of Burgaw and Michelle McCoy of Wilmington; grandchildren, Kylee, Alexis and Andrea; brother, Kirk Rivenbark of Currie; sister, Brystal Barbee of Currie; grandmothers, JoAnn Davis of Currie and Naomi Heath of Rocky Point; niece and nephews, Morgan, Brant and Malachi and many extended family and friends who loved Clay dearly.

Lovingly remembered are Clay's grandparents, Elmer Davis, Timothy Clayton Rivenbark and Virginia Mary Rivenbark.

Clay was a member of Believers Bible Fellowship.

Clay dearly loved his family and was truly loved in return. He had dedicated his life to the Lord and often shared his faith in Jesus Christ by preaching The Word of God to others. Clay loved being outdoors in God's beautiful world; hunting, fishing or just communing with nature. Clay will be remembered for his love for his family, his witty personality, his sunny smile and his faith in God.

Graveside service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Long Bluff Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Anthony Davis officiating. The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Burgaw and at other times will be at the home of Kim and Ricky West, 50 Tram Rd, Currie, NC.
