Obituary

Clifton Aubine English, age 80, of Teachey left this earthly life for his eternal home with Jesus Christ his Lord on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center.

Born January 15, 1933, he was the son of the late Dewey and Margaret Gavin English. He was also predeceased by his brother, Freddie English and sisters, Annie Laura Kelley and Lucy E. James.

Aubine owned and operated Biney's Music in Wallace for many years and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife of 14 years, Lena Jackson English; his sons, Michael English and wife, Marcie of Nashville, TN and Biney English and wife, Beverly of Teachey; grandchildren, Jessica English Whitley, Megan Cook and husband, Keith, Sean English and Isabella English; great grandchildren, Alexis Whitley, Madison Whitley, Asia Whitley, Chloe Whitley, Macie Whitley, Stella Cook and Ruby Cook and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who loved Aubine dearly.

Funeral service will be at 6:00pm Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend Larry Kelley and the Reverend Andy Beard officiating. There will be a private graveside on Sunday, August 18, 2013.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, one hour prior to the funeral service at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace.

Aubine was a simple man who was loved and respected by those who knew him. He was a caring, hard working man who was willing to lend a helping hand as long as his health permitted. Being a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Aubine lived his life dedicated to God, his family and his community. He based his life on Christian principles and instilled Christian values in his children. Aubine loved gospel music and enjoyed using his talent for the Lord. Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
