Courtney Maurice Gee, age 74, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

He was born on May 13, 1947 in Newport News, VA to the late James Maurice Gee and Ethel Grey (Travis) Gee.

Courtney is survived by his wife, Alfreda Paschall Gee; daughter, Arie Marae Gee; sister-in-law, Marae McGhee and husband, George; and many cousins.

Courtney was a loving husband, father, brother-in-law, and friend who never met a stranger. An avid outdoorsman, Courtney loved fishing, boating, and hiking with his family and could often be found working on his latest project in the workshop or catching a UNCW baseball game.

Courtney was an active member of Church of the Servant (Episcopal), enjoying worship from a rocking chair, fixing something around the church, and serving his famous sausage cheese grits at the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper.

A celebration of Courtney's life will take place on Saturday, August 7 at 10:30 AM at Church of the Servant (Episcopal) at 4925 Oriole Dr, Wilmington, NC 28403.
