Cynthia "Cindy" Cauley Riley, 68, of Burgaw passed from this earthly life to her eternal rest on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

She was born on November 29, 1954 in Jackson County, Mississippi;  the daughter of the late William Rufus and Margie Rebecca Hinton Cauley.  She was also predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Richard Riley; her siblings Darrow Cauley, Evalee Florence Burks, Ronald Rufus Cauley, Kenneth Dale Cauley and Steve Allen Cauley.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her son Jeremy Riley and wife Rae of Burgaw, her daughter Raegan Riley and fiance Jimmy of  Hampton, Virginia; grandchildren Ethan, Lily, Zella and Axel; brother, David Cauley and wife Lori; nieces Ashley Flurry and Nan Davis; cousin Althea Scarbrough and numerous nieces, nephews, extended familiy and friends that loved Cindy dearly.

Cindy was a loving mother and caring grandmother.  She enjoyed the simpliest things in life but her greatest joy was family, especially her grandchildren.  Cindy lived her life with a spirit of patience, gratitude, wonder and love.  She was the happiest when she was doing simple things like spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband.

There will be a Celebration of Life service for Cindy and Richard at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Cora's Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Little and the Reverend Dean Walker officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial gifts be sent to Penderlea Christian Academy Building Fund, 4875 Coras Grove Rd, Watha, NC 28478.
