Wilmington - Cynthia Elizabeth Rivenbark Ellison, 61, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed gently from her earthly life on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the home of her son.

She was born June 27, 1950 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Robert Horace and Rita Louise Batten Rivenbark. Cynthia is survived by her loving family, her son, Joshua Ellison and his wife, Melissa Ellison; granddaughter, Hazel Elizabeth Ellison all of Wilmington; brothers, David Rivenbark (Gerrie) of Stovall and Robert Horace Rivenbark, Jr. (Teela) of Columbus, GA and many extended family and friends.

Cynthia with her bright smile and steadfast faith in the Lord brought love, joy, sunshine, and caring not only to her family, but to all she met in life.

A memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Dodd Mays officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
