Obituary

Dallas Charles Corbett, age 15, of Winnabow passed from this life into eternity on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born November 27, 2000 in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Dallas was a social, friendly, active, smart and funny guy that never let his limitations limit him. He enjoyed listening to his I-Pod, interacting with his peers and adults, playing disk golf at the park or just spending time with his family.

He was attending North Brunswick High School in Leland and was enjoying the time he spent with his teachers and classmates. Dallas loved to drive the golf cart, was fascinated by all things to do with school buses, cars and the police to the point of watching almost every episode of COPS. His short life made such a huge impact on those around him and was an inspiration to all.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Tonya Baker and husband Dustin; devoted father, John Corbett and wife Stephanie "Momanie"; brothers, Dylan Yost and Jack Baker; sisters, Faith and Brystal Baker; grandparents, Patricia Fowler "Mimi", Yvonne "Bon" Corbett, C.E. "Daddy E." Corbett, Verlyn "Grandma Lynn" Baker, Jack "PaPa Jack" Baker and A.D. Jacobs; great grandmother, Ruth "Ma Ruth" Corbett, aunts, Delores Baker, Ginger Baker and Jenny Blandin; uncles, Ray Fowler and Matthew Jacobs; cousins, Madelene and Ashlee Trifoli; special friends, Lasandra "Sanda" Thomas, Lionel Brown and James " Mr. Knox" Knox; canine companions, Molly, Evie and Bell; and numerous other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 12 PM Friday, November 11, 2016 at North Brunswick High School in Leland in the Gymnasium.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 11, 2016 in the school gymnasium with his close friend Mr. Knox officiating. Interment will follow in Corbett Cemetery in Kelly, North Carolina.

The family would like to thank the teachers and Brunswick County School System, Doctors and Nurses, Home Care Staff, Trillium Health Resources and Staff and friends for their dedication, love and care for Dallas. The prayers and support have been a blessing.
