Obituary

Damion Lestat Huntley, 23, of Leland, passed away on May 31, 2026.

He was born on July 13, 2002, in Rochester, New York, to Jake Huntley and Britni Chichelli- Parker.

Whether Damion was with family, working on a car, or sharing a laugh with friends, he approached life with a genuine enthusiasm that was impossible to miss. He had a gift for making others laugh, whether through his incredibly quick wit, infectious energy, or the smile that so often lit up his face. Those dimples and that unmistakable grin are memories his family and friends will carry with them forever.

From a young age, Damion had a personality that was impossible to forget. As the eldest brother and the first nephew born into his family, he naturally set a presence that shaped those who came after him. He led in his own way, showing his younger siblings and cousins that it was okay to be different and live life on their own terms. He brought joy to those around him with a sense of humor and a spirit that was entirely his own. The laughter he shared with family and friends created memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

One of his greatest passions was cars, a love passed down from his late grandfather, Glen, who helped spark an interest that would stay with him throughout his life. That passion grew into a deep appreciation for Hondas and import vehicles, and Damion found joy not only in the finished product but in the process of building, modifying, and making each vehicle uniquely his own. He and his father also spent time together working on cars, creating many memories during those projects. Those times often provided Damion with a front-row seat to his father's "choice words" and occasional tool-throwing moments when frustration set in, which Damion never failed to find amusing. He could often be found searching junkyards for hidden treasures, browsing Facebook Marketplace for his next project, or spending countless hours researching and learning something new. He wasn't afraid of a challenge and believed that with enough determination, patience, and a little help from others, anything could be figured out.

His friends knew him as someone who was always willing to lend a hand. At work, he was often the person others turned to for help. Whether in the garage working on a project, offering advice, or simply sharing a laugh, he gave his time generously and made people feel welcome.

He shared a loving, three-year relationship with his girlfriend, Haley. He was patient and kind, and he enjoyed sharing his passion for cars with her. He also taught her how to drive a manual car, and those moments became meaningful memories.

At the heart of everything Damion did was his love for his family. He always made time for family dinners at his dad's house, somehow always knowing what his stepmom Jacquie was serving even before his siblings did. He also enjoyed spending time fishing, finding peace and connection in the simple moments shared on the water with the people he cared about. He lived fully, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Though his time here was far too short, his laughter, kindness, passion, and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

Damion is survived by his father, Jake Huntley and wife, Jacquie; his mother, Britni Chichelli- Parker; his brothers, Ayden Huntley, Caleb Huntley, Jonathan Huntley; his sisters, Aubrey Torres, Madeline Torres, Alayna Fleming, Tristen Fleming, Kensley Fleming; his grandparents, Barbara and Michael Fleming, and his grandfather, John Chichelli.

Damion is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harold Huntley, Glen Wedgewood; and his great grandfather, Louis Noto.
