Danny Brooks Harrington, born July 9, 1958 in Darlington, SC, passed away on March 29, 2024 in Wilmington, NC at the way too young age of 65.

He was the son of Johnny Brooks Harrington and Ruth Ell McLendon Harrington. In addition to his parents Danny was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca "Nikki" Kennedy; grandson, Jaiden Andrews; sister, Helen; and brothers, George and Timmy.

Danny is survived by his beloved wife of almost 41 years, Virginia Harrington; daughter, Kristi Bradshaw; grandchildren, Ryley Bradshaw, Lainey Bradshaw, Kinley Bradshaw, Nic Harrington (Ralph), Brianna Kennedy, and Gracie Kennedy; great granddaughter, Lola; sister, Angela Spencer; brothers, James Harrington, Donnie McLendon (Wanda), and Charles Harrington (Karen); mother-in-law, Betty Wainwright; special friends, George Sluder and John and Lori Davis; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Danny was a man of many interests including, fishing, collecting race cars (also enjoying the sport), caring for his yard, and flee marketing. A favorite pastime was spending time with the guys and his "Papa George" at Penderlea Lake House. First and foremost in Danny's life was family that he so dearly loved and enjoyed spending time with.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel.

A graveside service will follow at 3:00 P.m. at Riverview Memorial Park with Pastor Ray Davis conducting the service.
