David Murchison Blake, Jr., 59, of Thailand and formerly of Wallace passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012.

He was born on September 23, 1953 in New Hanover County, the son of the late David Murchison Blake, Sr. and Dora Robinson Blake.

David was a 1971 graduate of Wallace-Rose Hill High School.

Surviving are his loving daughters, Tiffany Blake Homrighausen of Hampstead, Ashley Blake Ryan, Samantha Artis, both of Lawton, OK and Carmen Blake of Thailand; grandchildren, Carrie, Brooke and Alexis Homrighausen, Danny Ryan and Kenny Artis; brother, Michael Blake and wife, Carol of Charlotte and special cousin, Martha Anderson and Shelby Wright and numerous relatives and friends.

David loved his family dearly, especially his daughters and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing sports as his health permitted and spending time with his family and friends. David enjoyed traveling and visiting the beautiful sights of the world. David will surely be missed but cherished memories of him will forever remain in our hearts.

Funeral service was at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Wallace with the Reverend Stan Jenkins officiating.

Burial followed in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Wallace.

Casketbearers were Harris Rivenbark, Jr., Paul Wayne Anderson, Jr., Eldreidge DeLeon Ganey and Ray Register.

The family received friend from 12:00 to 1:00pm on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the church.
