David "Danny Boy" Daniel English Jr., 73, of Watha, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend passed gently from his earthly life Sunday, May 5, 2019 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 6, 1946 in New Hanover County, one of 9 children born to David Daniel English and Faye Brewer English. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette English and nephews William English and Thad English.

David is survived by his siblings Patricia Evans of Watha, Bobby English of Ivanhoe, Doris Brown of Rose Hill, Jerry English of Harrells, Mary Sue English of Burgaw, Tony English of Harrells, and Donna English of Rocky Point; numerous nieces and nephews; many extended family and friends all who loved David.

David enjoyed spending time drag racing.   He especially enjoyed fixing cars up and selling them.
