David Lawrence Warren, 66, of Rocky Point passed gently from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at home surrounded by his devoted family.
He was born April 29, 1947 in Tarboro and was the son of the late Willie and Lorrainne Simpson Warren.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Clark Warren; daughter, Erica Clark Ramsey (Jason); Kirsten Crisante (Vinnie) and Kristopher Mazur (Lizzy) were both raised by David and Carol; grandchildren, Morgan Ramsey, Daren Ramsey, Andrew Crisante, Matthew Crisante, Sofia Crisante, Kensi Mazur and Kohen Mazur; sisters, Diana Snell (Mike), Cathy Shephard and Janet Scroggs (Max); David's caring friend, Jimmy "Melvin" Wheeler; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
David worked with Landmark for over 25 years. He loved his family above all else and was a devoted husband, daddy, granddaddy, brother and friend. David was a history buff and also enjoyed many visits to Kure Beach. Being a good neighbor, he could be seen daily visiting everyone in the neighborhood while riding on his lawnmower. David possessed a keen intellect, sharp wit and engaging personality; it was noted that he never met a stranger. He was a man of great humor who loved to make people happy. David's joyful laughter, bright smile and generosity will be missed and always remembered.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Bradley Creek Chapel, 315 Willow Woods Drive in Wilmington followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. conducted by The Rev. Dean Walker.
