Obituary

Deborah Boykin Calton, 57, of Watha was granted she angel wings on Friday, December 6, 2013 at her home.

She was born February 3, 1956, the daughter of the late Rudolph Monroe and Rebecca Issette Boykin. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gilford Boykin.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 16 years, Clifton Scott Calton; children, Billy Calton (Kristin) of Willow Springs, Helen Ripberger (Wayne) of Muncie, IN, Anita Swary (Zack) of Defiance, OH, Scott Calton (Shelly) of Sandy Hook, KY and Liz Calton of Louisville, KY; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Monroe Boykin of Watha and David Boykin (Kay) of Elm City; and many extended family who loved Deborah dearly.

She was a member of Cora's Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Deborah loved with all of her heart and her radiant smile brightened the life of every one she knew. She was a devoted wife, great sister and dearly loved each and everyone in her family. Deborah enjoyed traveling, working in her flowers and reading. Her wonderful sense of humor and steadfast faith in the Lord carried her through life and her recent illness. Fond memories of Deborah will always remain in our hearts.

A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Cora's Grove P.F.W.B. Church with The Rev. Randy Little and The Rev. Ted Mercer officiating.

Deborah's family is thankful for friends and all their acts of kindness during this time of their great loss and sadness. May God bless each of you.
