Deborah Padgett Walker, age 64, of Wallace passed from this life to her eternal rest on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from the Brian Center of Wallace.

She was born on May 27, 1958 in Pender County; one of 10 children born to the late Joseph M. and Exie Lee Gurganous Padgett.

Deborah is survived by her son, Geoffrey Walker of Willard; grandchildren, Savanah and Sadie Walker; her twin brother, David Padgett and his wife, Susan of Surf City; sisters, Lucille Giddeons of Willard, Jo Ann Marshburn of Jacksonville, Joyce Ward and husband, Bobby of Willard, Frances Brown and husband, Clifton of Wallace and Rebecca Fowler and husband, Jim of Bladenboro; brothers, Mitchell Padgett and wife, Juanita of Willard, J.A. Padgett and wife, Melinda of Willard, and Melvin Padgett and wife, Donna of Beulaville; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Deborah dearly.

Deborah loved her family with all her heart, especially her son Geoffrey.  She enjoyed flowers, gardening, animals and collecting frogs.  Deborah was  a people's person who enjoyed people.  She was a simple woman who enjoyed the simpliest things in life.  Deborah will surely be missed but treasured memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Penderlea Assembly of God Church, 3880 NC Hwy 11, in Penderlea with Pastor Bradley Walker officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the church.
