Dennis Michael Garris, age 62, of Rocky Point died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Milford & Reba Quinn Hospice Care Center in Kenansville.

He was born March 5, 1949 in Pender County and was the son of Annie Godwin Garris of Watha and the late Michael C. Garris.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his children, Vickie Henderson and husband, William and Brad Garris, all of Kenansville; grandchildren, Tiffany Henderson, Kaitlin Henderson, Caleb Henderson, Alex Garris, Tristan Garris and Ryder Garris; brothers, Garry Garris and wife, Kathy of Wilmington and Britt Garriss and wife, Judy of Richands; sister, Faye Mills and husband, Donald of Kinston and special friends, Michael Squires, Angie Squires, Brittany Squires and Christopher Newton.

Graveside service will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Watha United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Norman Wheeler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Milford & Reba Quinn Hospice, Care Center, Carolina East Hospice Care Center 748 S. Kenansville By-Pass, Kenansville, NC 28349.
