It is with great sadness the family of Dennis G. Matthews, Jr. of Rose Hill announce his recent passing.  He was 42 years old.

He was the son of Dennis Glenn Matthews, Sr. of Willard and  the late Diane Pittman Nazworth.  Dennis was also preceded in death by his brother, Alexander R. Matthews; his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Archie Ray Matthews and Milton Pittman.

Surviving in addition to his father, Dennis Sr. and his special friend, Louise Chadwick, are his 2 brothers, Brandon Chadwick and Parick Kelly Nazworth; his sister, Jessica Stephens; grandmother, Joanne Cole; step grandmother, Lavonne Pittman and numerous aunts, uncles, extend family and friends.

Dennis was a loving son and caring brother, and nephew who loved his family dearly and was loved in return.  He will always be remembered for his kind and gentle nature. Treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be truly missed.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Mt Zion Presbyterian Church, 129 E Main St, Rose Hill, NC 28458. The Reverend Brian Doles will be conducting the service.
