On April 17, 2021, Dennis Carroll Teachey, loving husband and father of three children passed away at the age of 76.

Dennis was born on February 5, 1945 in Watha, NC to Elbert Carroll and Thelma Marshburn Teachey.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Scott Teachey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Dianne Teachey; his daughters, Donna Rowe (Donnie) and Lorraine Orr; daughter-in-law, Pam; his sister, Gloria Jean Watson; brother, Arnold Marshburn; his grandchildren, Nicole, Paige, Cameron, Dalton, Tammy (Keith), Jamie and Shelby; and six great grandchildren.

Dennis loved the Lord and his family and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  Dennis enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting. In his later years Dennis enjoyed just being outdoors in the woods in God's wonderful world of nature. He was in awe of the beauty of the animals and nature around him as he chose not to hunt just to sit and enjoy. One of the most important dates in Dennis' life was September 2, 1978 when he married the love of his life, Dianne Brown.  Dennis provided for his family as an auto mechanic in Burgaw, NC for 44 years.

A service will be 2:00 p.m.on Monday April 19, 2021 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel at 2 PM with the Reverend David Knowles officiating.   A visitation will follow after the service.
