Dee left his earthly home Friday, August 20, 2021, and claimed his spot in Heaven with Jesus surrounded by family and prayers near and far. Dee entered this world on September 5, 1968 in Kinston

Survived by his wife of 25 years Vickie W. Ward of the home, two daughters, Katlyn Wall (Tyler) of High Point, NC, Hope Arendt (Cole) of Raleigh, NC, and three grandchildren – Azariah, Lenora and Evelyn; his loving parents, Bobby and Sue Ward of Rose Hill, NC;  sister, Su-Anne Estes (Jason) of Wake Forest, NC; nephew, Hudson and niece, Molly Wills.  Dee also left behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Dee will be missed by us all.  Dee had a passion for all things outside.  He was always tinkering on a motor of some sort and always ready for duck hunting.  He loved spending time on the river more than on land.  Dee loved his family.  His wife and his daughters were his heart.  He had a soft spot for kids especially his grandbabies and his nephew and niece.   A man who worked very hard and loved the life he made.

Dee – Daddy, you will be missed by us more than words will ever be able to say.  You overcame so much over the last 6 years and handled life through sickness with such strength.  You then worked through the most difficult odds right to the very end.  We can't be prouder of you and know your body is whole and well at last!
