Diana Gipson Couch 51, of Hampstead, NC passed away May 14, 2014.

Diana was born August 31, 1962 in San Diego, CA to Marilyn Gill and Dennis Gipson Sr, and was step-daughter of Donald Gill.

She was a kind loving daughter, aunt and sister. She will forever be remembered as our hero for the strength she had. She fought long and hard, hoping to see the day her niece, Tara Faircloth and Patrick Nucci to finally say I DO, but God needed her more.

She is survived by her sister, Dee Faircloth and husband Terry; brothers, Dennis Gipson and Mike Gipson and wife Dee Gipson; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She is also survived by two amazing friends; Joyce Smyre and Lori Herndon.

Visitation/Viewing will be held 12 noon, Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, 315 Willow Woods Dr., Wilmington, NC with a service immediately following at 1:00PM. Flowers are welcome.

As I sit here and watch you sleeping peacefully I can't help but think you will soon leave me. The thought of you no longer being here is probably my biggest fear. Over the years you have been a fighter and always seem to win no matter how big the battle was. We all knew this day would come eventually but the pain that is yet to come for us is unreal. The courage, strength and determination you have shown us will forever be in our memories. God has shown me how I can carry you with me everywhere. So fly free pretty lady and know we will all be okay and when we get to missing you, we will pick the brightest star for you and talk away. You have left permanent foot prints on my heart that will never fade.
Rest in peace my hero.
Family will receive friends starting at 12 noon, Tuesday, May 20, 2014 followed by a service at 1:00 PM.
