Dolly Fergus Bidwan, age 72, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.

She was born on September 15, 1948 in Wilmington, NC to the late Ivon Eldridge Fergus and Virginia McFadyen Fergus.

Dolly lived in Wilmington for fifty years and later lived in Charlotte. She was a member of the Hanover Seaside Club since childhood. Dolly was the Lab Director at Law & Co. chemical laboratory for decades before becoming a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) in 1998. She was always full of energy and would do anything for anyone. Dolly was fun and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed yoga, playing cards with friends, walking and cooking. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Dolly was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a bright light to many people and will be dearly missed.

Dolly is survived by her daughters, Salam Bidwan Skeen and husband, Matt, and Laila Bidwan Rublewski and husband, Matt; brother, Ivon Eldridge Fergus, Jr. and wife, Pat; sisters, Bonnie Fergus Smith and husband, Woody, and Jenny Fergus Mullinax and husband, Charlie; grandchildren, Mattison Skeen, Carter Skeen, Jack Rublewski, and Luke Rublewski; and many other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Oakdale Cemetery, 520 N. 15th Street in Wilmington, on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 2pm.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Providence United Methodist Church 2810 Providence Rd Charlotte, NC with Pastor Bill Jeffries officiating. The family requests that all attendees wear masks during the service.
