Don W. Davis, 78 of Rocky Point passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCareCenter.

Preceded in death by son Don Mitchell Davis, brother Guy J. Davis and a sister Mildred West.

Don is survived by his wife Sue Davis, of the home, son Jeff Davis (Melissa), daughter Suzanne Blanchard (Paul), grandchildren Kyle Davis, Shelby and Gabriel Blanchard, brothers J.B. Davis and Dr. Leon Davis, sisters Margaret Packard, Louise Brinson and Phyllis Hahn.

He was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church, a charter member of Wilmington Home Builders Association, was the owner and operator of Davis Sand Company, and in recent years retired and lived on his farm in Rocky Point.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM, Friday, December 27, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Bradley Creek Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 1:00PM. Interment Greenlawn Memorial.
