Donald Ray
Bradshaw
Jul 29, 1944 — Jun 12, 2013
Donald Ray Bradshaw, 68, of Burgaw passed peaceful from his earthly life on June 12, 2013 at Wallace Gardens Assisted Living. He was born July 29, 1944 in Pender County, the son of the late John Thomas and Hazel Marie Barnhill Bradshaw.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia B. Fowler and Marsha Bradshaw both of Burgaw; grandchildren, J. J. Fowler, Kassidy Fowler, Christopher Stewart and a fourth grandbaby expected in December; brother, Douglas T. Bradshaw of Watha; sister, Martha Deal (Eddie) of Watha; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In 2000 Donald retired from US Airways with 30 years of service.
Donald was a kind affectionate person who enjoyed the simplicity of life. He always looked for the good in each person and would give you the shirt off of his back. He adored his two daughters and cherished each day he spent with them. Due to his health, for the past year Donald made his home at Wallace Gardens Assisted Living. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Wallace Gardens for the excellent care given to our dear Donald during his stay. Donald was loved by all and will be truly missed. We thank God for his sustaining power during the last several years as Donald's health declined.
