Donald Henry Deal, age 67, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born January 10, 1946 in Pender County, the son of the late Walter Henry and Helen Roberson Deal. Also remembered is Donald's wife, Martha Lewis Deal who died in 1994.

Donald is survived by his wife of 19 years, Gloria S. Deal; his daughter, Missie Willoughby (John) of Burgaw; step-children, Cindi, Missy, Vickie, Jackie, and April; 19 grandchildren; one great grandson; one great grandson to be born in June; sister, Nancy Mitchell; and many extended family and friends.

Donald was retired as service manager from Campbell Oil Company after working 45 years in the gas and oil business.

Donald was a good husband, daddy, granddaddy, brother and friend. He enjoyed drag racing and working on old cars. Donald maintained his dry witty sense of humor and his slow Southern drawl until the very end. He was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. Loved by his family and cherished by his co-workers and friends.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Addie Bonsignore officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.

The family will receive friends at the home of John and Missie Willoughby.
