Donald Lee Thompson of Rocky Point, who was lovingly cared for all of his 26 years of earthy life, has gone to be with God's angels. He ascended to heaven on Friday, March 19, 2021 while being a patient at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.

He was born August 10, 1994 in Wilmington to Michael Lee Thompson, Sr. and Judy Irene Basden Thompson, who both preceded Donald in death.

Donald is survived by his devoted family, brothers, Jason Thompson and wife, Shannon of Burgaw and Michael Thompson, Jr. and wife, Mindy of Rocky Point; nieces and nephews, Tyler Thompson, Nicole Thompson, Nevaeh Thompson, Brian Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Heather Thompson, Little Michael Thompson, and Logan Thompson; great niece, Brinleigh Kay Thompson; several aunts, uncles, and many extended family and friends.

Donald was a loving and sweet spirited child of God who brought joy and sunshine into the lives of all who loved and cared for him.

Graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Thompson Family Cemetery with the Reverend Ben Horrell officiating.
