Donna Jo Carlyle, age 56, of Wilmington, NC passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 22, 2021.

She was born on May 25, 1964 in Germany to the late Joseph Richard Capanda and Geraldine Williams Capanda.

Donna enjoyed playing card games and bowling. She also liked to watch old game shows, NCIS and Murder She Wrote. Donna loved visiting Disney World and went there multiple times. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends. Donna was a bright light to many people and will be missed dearly.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Heather Carlyle and Hailey Carlyle (Abby); sisters, Annette Doherty, Cynthia Barnhill (Tracy), and Beverly Whitman; niece, Christine Tanhueco; and nephews, Joshua Barnhill, Kenny Barnhill, and Zachary Whitman.

A memorial gathering will be held at Annette and Donna's house, 311 Glynnwood Drive, Wilmington, NC 28405 on Sunday, February 28, 2021 between 1pm and 5pm.
