Donna "Lynn" Carr, 63, of Willard passed from her earthly life Thursday, January 5, 2023 at her home.

She was born August 21, 1959 in Pender County, the daughter of James Wallace Hicks and Dorcas Rebecca Piner Hicks. In addition to her parents Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Chip" Bordeaux Carr, Jr.; and her daughter, Jessica Carr.

Lynn is survived by her daughter, Stacy Carr (RJ); grandchildren, Jaley Carr and Kaden Powell; sisters, Sarah Howard and June Wood (Lonnie); many nephews and nieces including Kathy Jarman who was like a sister to Lynn; and numerous extended family members all who loved Lynn.

Lynn was a diligent worker and a real go getter, always tending to something or someone. She loved the Lord, her dear family, the outdoors, flowers, reading books and helping people. In her younger years, Lynn was an avid fisherwoman and enjoyed horseback riding. There was not a time that could be remembered when Lynn didn't have at least one pet, her animals were another one of the things that bought her so much joy throughout her life.  With her warm personality Lynn never met a stranger. She was the glue that held her family together and now she passes that on to Stacy. Lynn was loved and loved in return.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023 at Potts Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Dean Walker conducting the service. Following the graveside service the family will receive friends at the cemetery.
