Donna Sue Barnhill Jacobs, 56, of Castle Hayne passed peacefully from her earthly life on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 27, 1959 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Tony Lee Barnhill and Marjorie Cain Butler Barnhill. Also remembered is her brother, Ronnie Barnhill who preceded Donna in death.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Beth Register; son, Dustin Fisher; grandson, Zachary Register; love of her life for the past 20 years, Scott Royal; sisters, Vicki King and Debbie Bankord; and many extended family and friends.

Donna loved her family and was a special mom, sister, and friend. She enjoyed the simple things in life, but her greatest joy was her family. Donna loved the beauty of nature, the song of birds, and the simplicity of a quiet evening at home with her family and Scott. Trips to the beach were a favorite pastime. Donna's sweet spirit, warm heart and gentle laughter will be forever missed.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Northside Baptist Church, 2501 N. College Road, Wilmington with Pastor Mike Morley officiating.
