Donna Kaye Gafford, age 72, of Smithfield passed gently from her earthly life Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in Smithfield.

She was born March 12, 1951 in Craven County to George Washington Gafford, Jr. and Katie Marie Harrell Gafford. Her daddy, George, was in the military and stationed at Cherry Point military base thus Kaye was born in Craven County.

Kaye is survived by her sister, Linda Gafford Bradshaw (Charlie DaVolio); brother, George Michael Gafford (Margaret); and several nieces and nephews.

Kaye worked in the hospital setting as a medical technologist for many years.

She will be laid to rest with her parents and grandparents at Woodcock Cemetery in Atkinson with day and time to be forth coming.
