Donnie "Jack" Reynolds, age 83, of Wilmington left this earthly life for his eternal home on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

He was born November 21, 1928 in Columbus County; the son of the late Donnie and Arizona Ward Reynolds. He was predeceased by his sister, Lacy Reynolds.

Jack was a member of Gloryland Baptist Church of Belville, NC.

Happily married to the love of his life for 64 years is his loving wife, Rachel Lee Ward Reynolds of the home. Also surviving to cherish his memory is his devoted daughter, Faye R. Morgan (Dwight) of Wilmington; grandchildren, Donna Kay Morgan and Elbert Eugene Morgan (Kiha); great grandchildren, Alicia Gore, Ray Kinser, Samantha Lynn Morgan and Elbert Morgan, Jr.; great- great grandchildren, MaKayla Dawn Gore and Austin Gore; brother, Richard Reynolds of Laurinburg and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 23, 2011, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Bradley Creek Chapel in Wilmington with Pastor Marty Campo officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Thursday evening at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Bradley Creek Chapel, 315 Willow Woods Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409.

Donnie or "Jack" as he was affectionately called was a faithful and dedicated husband and loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He found great joy in the simplest of things, but his greatest joy was his family, whom he spoiled in every way. Jack was a simple man who was loved and respected by all who knew him. His favorite pastime was spending time with family, motorcycles, and eating gravy and biscuits at McDonalds in Leland with his friends. Jack was a man tall in stature but gentle in nature. His warmth and loving spirit greatly impressed everyone he met. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
